According to reporter Sam Amico, Giddy is dissatisfied with the Bulls' performance in contract negotiations.

Gidey is a restricted free agent and the Bulls want to renew the striker's swingman, but are reluctant to offer him a $30 million annual contract.

As a restricted free agent, Gidey has three options: sign a new contract with the Bulls; accept a qualification offer and become a full free agent in the next offseason; or sign a contract with other teams.

If Giddy signs a contract with other teams, the Bulls can choose to match the contract, or let the player go and push for a sign-on and then trade.

However, some sources said that so far, no team has contacted Gidey or the Bulls for signing first and then changing matters.

Last season, Gidey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks per game for the Bulls, shooting 46.5% from the field, 37.8% from three-point shooting percentage and 78.1% from free throws. He also won 30 double-doubles and 7 triple-doubles.
