Hupu, October 10, according to the latest report from the famous Daily Mail reporter Chris Wheeler, it is reported that a consortium based in the United Arab Emirates is considering making a takeover offer to the Glazer family, who will demand more than 5 billion pounds to sell their Manchester United shares.

The consortium has approached some former Manchester United players to serve as Manchester United's ambassadors.

But so far, the consortium has not contacted Manchester United's major shareholders, and the actual situation is very different from what Alsheikh described in his post to his 7.2 million followers on Wednesday night.

The Daily Mail first reported the news in the early hours of Thursday morning, after Al-Sheikh wrote:

"The best news I've heard today is that Manchester United are in the advanced stages of completing a sale to a new investor - who I hope will be a better owner than the previous one." It is reported that he is negotiating with Manchester United for matches during the Riyadh season. Riyadh's season officially starts on Friday and runs until March next year.

However, the comments caught United off guard, with Old Trafford insiders saying on Thursday they were unaware of his source.

In fact, the consortium’s plans are still in the early stages, and there is no guarantee that they will eventually develop into a formal bid. It is understood that the consortium is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, but its key figures are not from Saudi Arabia or neighboring Qatar.

On Thursday night, Alsheikh posted another message, saying:

"Yesterday's news about Manchester United's potential sale means one thing: the club is in advanced negotiations with a new investor.

To be clear, I am not an investor, and they are not my home country. I am posting this as a fan in the hope that this deal will be completed, although it may not be successful."
