According to journalist Matteo Moreto, Allegri's specific salary figures are indeed far higher than the market's conventional level.

Allegri is among the top-salary coaching team of Serie A, and his contract consists of fixed salary and bonuses, with a net income of more than 6 million euros in a single season. Behind the high salary is the endorsement of his "famous coach" - although his performance in his last term at Juventus and failed to fulfill his expectations, he became a representative figure in the team's trough period in his team's history. At that time, not only did he have poor performance, but he also failed to effectively train players or add value to the club. What he left was a situation that needed to be reorganized urgently.

After a year of rest, Allegri did not choose to go out of his comfort zone to challenge the overseas league, but quickly took over AC Milan, which ranked only eighth in Serie A. This means that only qualifying for the Champions League this season can be regarded as progress, and the goal will be achieved as long as the results exceed last year.

But the reality requires higher: if you hold a top salary and lead a team with considerable strength and no pressure to fight on multiple lines, AC Milan must compete for the league championship (although you don’t have to win the championship) in order to truly reflect the value of the season. Qualification to the Champions League alone is obviously insufficient and may even be regarded as a waste of resources and opportunities. If Allegri wants to prove that he deserves this high salary, he must become the core driving force for real significant improvement, just like Conte did to Naples last year.
