Within the start of the new Premier League season, Arsenal has encountered the dilemma of several players being injured. Mikel Arteta is looking forward to several core players returning to the team after international matches.

The start of the Premier League this season is "cruel" for Arsenal: not only is the schedule intensive and the opponent strong, but the Gunners also suffered consecutive player injuries.

The latest blow comes from William Saliba - the French defender left the game due to injury at the opening stage of Arsenal's loss to Liverpool, and therefore missed the call for the French national team.

The French national team said in an official statement: "William Saliba, who started on the weekend against Liverpool, was forced to leave the court in the 5th minute of the game. He will not be able to participate in the first training session of the national team this season and is currently diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. After evaluation by French team physician Franck Le Gall, Didier Deschamps confirmed that Saliba was unable to participate. The national team coach has decided to recruit Benjamin Pavard as a substitute."

Bukayo Saka is another key player to Arsenal's recent injury. The England winger suffered a hamstring injury against Leeds United and is expected to return until October.

Meanwhile, German striker Kai Havertz will also join the teammate's injury ranks. The former Chelsea player has undergone surgery due to injury in the first round of the season.

However, Arteta is looking forward to Havertz's recovery cycle. He said: "I think his injury will be in 'weeks' units, but it is not certain how many weeks (not months) will be required."

"We must accept the reality. Obviously, we will lose another important player in the next few weeks, but the surgery is the right choice. The doctor gave professional advice, and in the end he firmly believed that this is the fastest and best way to solve the injury. There is uncertainty in any surgery, and I will leave the specific details of the injury to the medical team. But most importantly, I hope he can return to his best condition when he returns to the team - perhaps in the long run, this surgery will allow him to avoid suffering from similar injuries in the future."

The good news is that Martin Odegaard and Christian Nolgo Norgaard and Ben White are getting better. Arsenal captain Odegao has been on the bench against Liverpool and has made a substitute at the end of the game; Norgo and White are expected to officially return to the team after the international match.

Finally, long-term injury Gabriel Jesus has been absent from January due to a serious knee injury and there is still no clear timetable for returning to the team. Arsenal has confirmed that the Brazilian striker has not made it to the team's roster for the Champions League group stage.
