October 30th Former Juventus defender Evra expressed his views on Juventus’ dismissal of Igor Tudor, ruling out the possibility of his return and severely criticizing the current players.

About the fans' hope that he will return as a coach or director

Dear Juventus fans, I saw some people sent messages saying that they want me to serve as a director or coach, but I retired four years ago and will not return to football in the short term.

Why don’t you want to return to football?

It's because I'm going to have to sacrifice everything for football and I'm enjoying life too much right now. I'm a happy person, so I care more about what I think.

What would you like to say to the players regarding Tudor's sacking?

I just want to recap Tudor's sacking. Thank you coach for everything. This is the message to the players. When they fire coaches, it means you guys are not doing your job on the field.

Have you ever experienced a similar situation yourself?

In my entire career, this has only happened once, and that was at Manchester United, when they sacked David Moyes. I felt like shit and I hope the players at Juventus feel the same now because they have had three or four coaches sacked in the past few years.

Do you think current players can shoulder the responsibility?

You are at Juventus and you must take responsibility. The problem is that it doesn't work for the new generation of players, it's a weak generation. So all those commentators and experts who are retired players, talking to them is a waste of time.

What are the differences between players of your generation and now?

We are footballers, we play for passion, for the jersey, for history, and to support our families. This generation is more like athletes than players. They are brands, they are rappers, they are fashionistas. There are too many distractions.

Are you strict with them?

That's why I'm not harsh on them, because we don't have those distractions. We would eat, sleep, play football and that would be it. The world has changed, not just football.

Do you think Juventus has changed?

Juventus has completely changed and we have lost our true values. I remember the days when I first came here with Andrea Agnelli and I was happy to see history everywhere, we had Pavel Nedved, Platini and others.

Will you return to football in the future?

One day I will return to football, but not now. I just want to say that when you play for Juventus you have to sacrifice everything, including your family.

What is your most unforgettable experience at Juventus?

The best league title I ever won in my life was with Max Allegri in 2014/15, I think we were 13th in the league and lost to Sassuolo and a lot of players wanted Max sacked, but I saw the same thing at Manchester United when they tried to suggest that Moyes was the only reason they lost.

What is your final advice to current Juventus players?

The coach was fired, no excuses now. If you don't want to be at Juve, then leave. You are too weak.
