Former Arsenal midfielder and Garner international Thomas Patty was granted conditional bail after appearing in London's Westminster District Court on Tuesday local time on Tuesday. He is expected to continue his football career in Spain. According to Romano, he has joined Villarreal without visa.

Patty, 32, was charged by the Crown Prosecutor's Office with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. According to an official statement, the allegations involved three women who reported incidents between 2021 and 2022. Patty's contract with Arsenal expired on June 30 this year, and four days later, on July 4, CPS officially filed charges against him. The court hearing was short. Patty will appear again at the London Central Criminal Court on September 2 after her release.

Chief Magistrate Judge Paul Goldspring announced Patty's bail conditions in court. Patty was banned from contacting any of the three women involved in the case. At the same time, he must inform the police of any permanent address change or any absence from his residence for 14 consecutive days. Patty was also asked to notify police 24 hours before any international trip. This condition is particularly important to him, as the outside world is generally expected to join the La Liga team Villarreal. Judge Goldspring said at the hearing that he understood that Patty was no longer employed in England and currently plays in Spain.

Arsenal coach Arteta did not comment on the matter, but insisted that the club had always followed the right procedures after Patti's first arrest in July 2022. Under British law, the suspect enjoys the right to anonymity until formally accused by the police, so Patty's identity was not disclosed during a long investigation. During this period, he made a total of 108 appearances in various competitions for Arsenal.

Patty did not respond to an interview request from outside the court media representatives on Tuesday. His attorney, Jenny Wiltsha of Hickman and Rose, has previously issued a statement insisting that the parties are not accused. "Thomas Patty denies all charges. He has always cooperated with all his strength during the three-year investigation by the police and the Crown Prosecutor's Office. He is now looking forward to the opportunity to finally clear his crimes."
