Hupu reported on August 11 that in the just-concluded Gambel Cup, Barcelona defeated Como 5-0. During this period, Como young star Nico Pas accepted an exclusive interview with the Spanish media Daily Sports. In the interview, he reviewed his time at Tenerife, talked about information about Como and his expectations for next season, and shared unforgettable moments of his football career. The following is the second half of his exclusive interview.

So what about Como? What did Cuomo give you?

"Yes, I'm very happy. We're building a good team with a good coaching staff and in a very beautiful city and environment. I can't ask for more at the moment."

Pedro asked me to ask you about the stadium in Como. "Everyone said it was amazing, maybe not because of its capacity, but because of its unique geographical location, right by the lake, I think you should go and have a look (laughs)."

You mentioned the coaching staff, and Fabregas, to what extent has it been valued by a coach who can give you the full play of your talent, to what extent has it promoted your career?

"For players of our age, it is crucial to be able to go to a team where the coach trusts you, the head coach needs you, not just as an investment in the club. I learned a lot from him, he was one of the best players in the world, and he was the one who helped me continue to grow and to spend this important period in the best way."

So how does it feel to live in uncertainty, surrounded by rumors about your future and the club you are interested in?

"People always talk about it, but I'm calm and focused on Como. A very important season is coming, we can fight for great results, I can't wait to start the first league game and show the world Como's ability, I'm looking forward to it."

You just had a season worth remembering and eventually won the Serie A Best Young Player Award. What does this mean to you?

"It means a lot. Think about it, I went from being in the youth training camp and not being a professional player to joining the top league team, playing all the games and winning that award. This is a very important step in my career."

People say that Nico Pas is the kind of player who can make the offense better by passing the ball, the kind of player who is happy to buy tickets anywhere in the world to watch him play live. Have you always been so creative?

"Well, I don't know, it's up to people who have been watching me play football. I've always focused on playing good football, having fun on the court, not doing the prescribed movements, but doing things that improvise, and I like to make people happy."

What is your happiest moment so far?

"To be honest, luckily I have many such moments. I would say two happiest moments: one was scoring a goal in the Champions League against Naples, which was an incredible moment, something I dreamed of since joining the club: to enter the first team, be able to play, and score in the Champions League. The other was the debut of the Argentina national team, not only because it was its debut, but also because of Messi, his hat trick, the assist I gave him... He was such a great guy. I just passed the ball to him, but he kept pointing at me and thanking me. I was so excited that night that I couldn't fall asleep."

Have you talked to Xavi Alonso?

"Xavi Alonso? I have never talked to him and have not had the honor to know him. As a player, he is indeed a legend of Real Madrid and a very good player."

I guess your time at Real Madrid has not ended yet

"No one can say that. I am now focusing on Como, which is where I should be now. I am very happy and full of expectations. I have no idea where the future will be, and I don't even know what to do tomorrow."

What is your biggest goal?

"My dream is to participate in the next World Cup, and just next year, I'm working hard every day. To do this, I have to do a great job in the club. I want to do my best in Como. This is a critical year, I'm looking forward to the arrival of the first round of the league."

We can already say that you are at the same level as the great Canary Islands players (Pedro, Pedri, Molero...).

"Their level is simply crazy , what you said about Canary players has always been talented there. They are very outstanding compared to other players because of their talent. I grew up watching them play and succeed. As far as I can remember, I went to Elliodoro Stadium to watch Ayoze Pérez play, and I have been paying close attention to him…”

We talked about Tenerife, but you haven’t told me if I have ever had a chance to go back, there are rumors that I have had contact, is it true?

"Yes, it's really a possibility. In my first year of playing for Castilla, there were a lot of rumors. Tenerife was indeed interested in me, but Real Madrid never opened up any possibility of negotiations. The transfer failed because Real Madrid wanted me to stay in the second team. In addition, the club also sent a message to Tenerife: I have the opportunity to make my debut in the first team in the future, and this promise was indeed fulfilled in the end."
