Palmer: Being selected for the FIFPro Best Team is a huge honor and it feels great to be recognized by other players.

November 4th Chelsea midfielder Palmer was selected into the FIFPRO Men's World Team of the Year by professional players around the world. After winning the award, Palmer gave a speech, saying that it was a huge honor.

Palmer said: "Being selected for the FIFPRO World's Best Team is obviously a huge honor, and it feels particularly good to be selected by other players. They know best what it takes to play at the highest level, so it is the best feeling to be recognized by them."

When asked who may become the next rising star selected for the World's Best Team in the future, Palmer replied Answered: "Esteban."

When talking about Chelsea's Brazilian talented youngster, Palmer said: "I think he has all the ability to achieve great things. I hope he can do it at Chelsea."

Last season, Palmer made many outstanding performances, helping Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup, and was named the best player of the tournament in the Club World Cup. Palmer is one of six new faces in the 2025 Men's World Team of the Year, symbolizing the rise of a new generation of stars. Other players selected for the first time include: Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Pedri, Lamine Yamar and Dembélé.

More than 20,000 male professional players from 68 countries participated in voting for the annual best team. Unlike other football awards, the selection of the best team in the world is not decided by reporters, coaches or fans, but by the players themselves.
