28-year-old Bernardo Toppa celebrated the Portuguese Sports victory with friends in the Saldania district. Before the team's bus heads to Marquez, police tried to disperse some fans who ignited and threw fireworks. As a result, Bernardo was unfortunately hit by a stray bullet in the left eye, resulting in complete blindness.

According to the Records, Bernardo has undergone surgery at a hospital in Lisbon and continues to be hospitalized. He has filed a lawsuit against the Portuguese Public Safety Police (PSP) and the Portuguese government, accusing him of negligence.

Bernardo is from Porto and is currently a flight attendant at TAP Airlines. He worked as a lifeguard for 10 years and interned with sports TV.
