Riyadh victory midfielder Otavio joins Saudi Caticia, transfer fee is not disclosed

Hupu September 7th News Portugal international midfielder Otavio is no longer a player of Jorge Jesus' victory club in Riyadh. He is closer to staying in Saudi Arabia but switching to Al Caticia.

Saudi media claimed that an agreement between the two clubs had been reached, satisfying the interest that had been expressed for weeks.

The Portuguese midfielder was excluded from Jorge Jesus early in the preseason. The 31-year-old has since been associated with multiple destinations, including returning to Brazil. He left Brazil in 2014 to join the Guimarães Club.

However, the former Porto player chose to stay in the Saudi league to strengthen the strength of the Al-Calticia club, which is determined to gain a foothold in the championship battle.

Saudi media did not disclose the transaction amount, but claimed that the transaction was completed and Otavio will sign a two-year contract with the new club.

On Friday, the Al-Calticia club announced that Spanish player Ikel Almena would transfer to Split Hayduke, thus freeing up the necessary places for foreign players to register.

The Portuguese player joined Riyadh Victory Club from Porto in the summer of 2023, bringing Porto Football Club a transfer fee of 60 million euros. During his two years at the club, he has made 84 appearances, scored 12 goals and contributed 15 assists.
