talkSPORT: Tottenham is interested in Akanji, Manchester City is willing to release & it needs to compete with Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur is seeking to strengthen the defense, and Manchester City is open to the release of Akanji, with the Swiss international having two years left on its contract.

He has not received any Premier League appearances under Guardiola this season, and the player may be about to leave the team as Monday night's transfer window deadline approaches.

Akanji joined Manchester City from Dortmund in 2022 and has played 158 games for the team so far. Despite winning the Premier League twice, he may choose to transfer after Tottenham expressed his interest.
