Turkish Super League famous actor Mourinho deliberately lost to leave Fenerbahce

Former Fenerbahce coach Mourinho is in a huge public opinion storm. The famous Portuguese coach quickly returned to Benfica after being fired by Fenerbahce. In response, Turkey's well-known sports commentator and former Besiktas star Southwest Inghn recently publicly criticized Mourinho on the TV show "In-depth Football", saying that he was suspected of losing intentionally in order to achieve his goal of returning to Benfica.

Ingen claimed that Mourinho had secretly contacted Benfica as early as when he was still coaching Fenerbahce. He revealed: "Murinho met with Benfica's lawyers in a hotel in Lisbon before Portugal's match against Benfica and Fenerbahce. The two sides held closed-door talks, and Mourinho even arranged another room to cover up. If they wanted, they could come out and explain, but I think that said it all."

What's more serious is that Inghn accused Mourinho of deliberately letting Fenerbahce out of the Champions League play-offs, thus creating a "reasonable" situation of being fired and paving the way for a transfer to Benfica. "He had already planned to leave and deliberately led to the elimination of Fenerbahce. He even received the 'hush fee', which is disgusting. In my opinion, he is just a shameless person."

Ingren called on FIFA and UEFA to investigate immediately and imposed the most severe punishment on Mourinho: "FIFA and UEFA must intervene immediately. Mourinho uses any means to achieve his goal, and even manipulates the results of the game in an extremely concealed manner. He deserves to be prohibited from participating in any football activities for life."

Benfica spent 34 million euros to welcome his "meritorship"

Mourinho's return to Benfica this time was very expensive. It is reported that the club paid up to 34 million euros for this. He signed a contract with the team to 2027, with a €16 million at the end of the season and another €18 million next season. In addition, Benfica will also bear part of the personal income tax that Mourinho should pay to Fenerbahce - provided that Mourinho leaves office before December 31, 2024, otherwise the clause will expire.

Mourinho responded: No advance contact

Facing the accusation, Mourinho had previously publicly denied it. He said: "Before Bruno Lager was fired, Benfica had never had any contact with me. When Benfica lost to Karabach, my wife and I were on vacation in Barcelona. The next day, Benfica president Rui Costa called me and said: 'We need to talk, I hope you come to coach Benfica, can we talk?' I agreed. That's it."

At present, Mourinho has not responded further to Inghn's latest allegations. But this explosive remark has sparked discussion in European football.
