World Ranking: Vietnamese women s football team continues to maintain the top 6 in Asia

In the new FIFA women's football rankings announced in June 2025, the Vietnamese women's football team remained unbeaten in the position, ranking 37th in the world and 6th in Asia. Recently, Medzhong's team has not participated in any official international competition that affects ranking points.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnamese women's football continued to lead, followed by the Philippines Women's Football Team (41) and Thailand Women's Football Team (46). Although Vietnam Women's Football Team played two friendly matches with Werder Bremen Women's Football Team and Iga Women's Ninja Women's Football Team, these matches belong to the category of training matches and do not belong to the ranking system of FIFA.

In Asia, the Japanese women's football team fell by 2 places, ranking 7th in the world, and is still the leader in the region. Behind them are North Korea (9th), Australia (15th), China (17th) and South Korea Women's Football Team (21st).

The US women's football team continues to rank first in the world, with Spain, Germany and Brazil occupying 2-4 places. The English women's football team rose one place, surpassing the French women's football team to rank fifth.

In the next Women's Football Asian Cup, Vietnamese Women's Football Team has the opportunity to improve their world rankings. They were divided into an easier group, facing three low-ranking opponents - Maldives Women's Football Team (163), UAE Women's Football Team (117) and Guam (97), with great hope of winning three consecutive victories. These competitions are official AFC competitions and will receive FIFA ranking points. If everything develops as expected, the ranking of Vietnam will be greatly improved.
