International players go to the NCAA to play! Angora center Paul Semedo will join the University of Arkansas

On June 14, 2025 Angola 19-year-old center Paulo Semedo announced his commitment to the NCAA University of Arkansas, 7-1 (2.16 meters) and 7-5 wingspan. He was born in 2006 and ranked 50th on the ESPN official website, adding depth to the Boars' frontcourt. Head coach John Calipari received the 14th player.

Paulo Semedo is from Angola. He went to Spain to play in 2021. He came to the United States to develop in the fall of 2024. He studied at West Oaks High School in Florida in his senior year and has recently visited Florida State.

Elmir Dzafic

Bosnian center Elmir Dzafic announced his commitment to the NCAA University of Arkansas, born in September 2005, 7-0 (2 meters 13), representing Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group B of the 2023 U18 Europa League, averaging 13.1 points, 10 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in 26 minutes. His agent is Misko Raznatovic.

Malick Kordel

21-year-old German center Malick Kordel announced his promise to the NCAA University of Michigan, and also universities such as Iowa and Villanova have recruited him. He is 7-1 (2.16 meters), born in March 2004, playing for the Fraport Skyliners Club, averaging 11.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, with a shooting percentage of 71.4%. Head coach Dusty May's double tower combination last season was impressive.

Japhet Moupadele

French wing Japhet Moupadele announced his commitment to NCAA San Jose State, affiliated to the Mountain West League, 6-7 (2 meters 01), born in 2006, played for Strasbourg U21 team this season, averaging 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, and averaging 11.9 minutes per game in the 2024 U18 European Youth League. It is expected to participate in the U19 Men's Basketball World Cup in Lausanne, Switzerland this summer.

Ethan Lin

‌2026 Chinese point guard Ethan Lin announced his commitment to join the NCAA University of Pennsylvania, affiliated to the Ivy League, with Swedish ancestry, 6-5 (1.96 meters), and attended Montgomery High School in New Jersey. Head coach Fran McCaffery previously coached at the University of Iowa for a long time.
