Pacers 2-0 Cavaliers, O Neal talks about Halliburton: Not overrated, he is an excellent player

After the Pacers, Shaquille O'Neal gave a high rating of Tyrese Halliburton

Recently there have been rumors that Indiana Pacers' Tyrese Halliburton may be overrated.

He was selected into the All-Star squad for both previous seasons and has made the Pacers a vibrant fast-break team since joining through trades three seasons ago. But some still doubt whether he can play a key role in the competition.

But Halliburton seems to be sending a message to those critics, he played a major series against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs this year, and on Tuesday, he sent a loud message.

With 12.1 seconds left in the second game, the team trailed the Cleveland Cavaliers 116-119. He was fouled, made his first free throw, grabbed the rebound after missing the second free throw, and hit a winning three-pointer before the game ended.

Turner sports star Shaquille O'Neal reminds everyone in the NBA Insider program that Halliburton's strength is indeed not inferior to publicity.

"First of all, Tyres Halliburton is not an overrated player," O'Neal said. “He’s a great player and plays the right style of the game.”

Halliburton’s statistics in Game 2—19 points, nine rebounds and four assists—was not amazing, but he led Indiana to an unstoppable reversal.

Halliburton scored 11 points in the fourth quarter with the team trailing 84-98. With more than one minute left in the game, he made consecutive layups to help Indiana trail 108-114 with 1 minute and 38 seconds left in the game. The Pacers are currently leading the Cleveland Cavaliers two-to-zero in this seven-game four-win series, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have nearly unrivaled 64 wins in the regular season. With the next two games to be held in Indianapolis, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ hopes for the championship are on the verge of stakes, thanks in large part to Halliburton.
