A few hours after Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to beat the Thunder in Game 1, a fan found him at a bar in Oklahoma City.

Nicola Jokic is just a person who enjoys life. Fans saw the three-time MVP winner celebrating the victory after leading the Denver Nuggets to savvy the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

Jokic was in an Oklahoma City bar the day after the Nuggets' first game victory over the Thunder, according to video shot by local fan Roy Clater. The fan posted the video to Instagram and quickly became popular.

fans kept joking that although Jokic had been dominating the game, he didn't take basketball seriously. The 30-year-old is a well-known horse lover, which has led many to joke that he cares more about his horse than his career.

In any case, Jokic dominated the Thunder in Game 1, scoring 42 points, 22 rebounds and 6 assists. Although his performance was covered by Aaron Gordon's winning three-pointer, Jokic repeatedly scored against Chet Homgren and Isaiah Haltenstein in the interior.

Nuggets' 2025 playoff journey, Nikola Jokic's joke continues

Jokic's dominance peaked in the playoffs a few months after becoming the first center in NBA history to average triple-double. However, this did not stop fans from making jokes about him as the Nuggets chased the next championship.

Since Denver unceremoniously fired head coach Mike Malone, fans quickly noticed that Jokic was getting more and more frequent during the timeout. Many joke that the superstar center has now taken over as the team coach and Malone's guidance has expired.

Brothers, I will never laugh!

Nuggets fired Michael Malone, and now Nikola Jokic has to coach the team, hahaha!

Brothers really have to do everything themselves😭

This will only make those jokes about horses more rampant, and these jokes seem to accompany Jokic throughout his career. Even after he scored a 40+20 double-double, fans still made sarcastic comments on social media that Jokic looked almost uninterested in the field.

Whether it's a joke or not, Jokic performed well in the first test against the Thunder's big lineup. Oklahoma City’s Homgren and Haltenstein’s double-big roster seemed the right way to slow him down, but he didn’t seem to worry as he once again brought great performances to his team.
