The Los Angeles Lakers officially announced that the team has signed backcourt player Nate Williams Jr. and forward player Anton Watson. In order to free up places for the signing of the two players, the Lakers cut off the striker Tavion Jones, who had just signed and Eric Dixon, who had signed after this year's draft.

Williams was born in February 1999 and is 26 years old, 196cm tall and weighs 92kg. He is the undraft in the 2022 NBA Draft. In the NBA regular season last season, Williams played 20 games for the Rockets in 82 games, averaging 7.3 minutes per game, averaging 3.2 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.2 blocks, and 0.7 turnovers and 0.8 fouls. He shot 43.5%, three-point shooting percentage 23.1%, and free throw shooting percentage 62.5%. In the playoffs, Williams only played 3 times in total. Due to his playing time, he could not perform well. In the NBA Development League last season, Williams played 21 times for the Rockets' subordinate team Rio Grand Canyon Vipers, with averaging 31 minutes per game, with averaging 19.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks, and 2.4 turnovers and 2.7 fouls. His shooting percentage was 50.5%, his three-point shooting percentage was 34.9%, and his free throw shooting percentage was 83.3%.

Watson was born in October 2000 and is not yet 25 years old. He is the new forward star selected by the Celtics in the 54th pick in the second round in the NBA Draft last year. According to physical test data from the G League Elite Training Camp before the NBA Draft last year, Watson's bare foot height was 201.9cm, his wingspan was 211.3cm, his standing height was 266.7cm, and his weight was 105.9kg. In the NBA regular season last season, Watson played 9 games for the New York Knicks, averaging 2.5 minutes per game, averaging 0.9 points, 0.3 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 0.1 steals, 0.2 turnovers and 0.3 fouls, with a shooting percentage of 44.4% and a three-point shooting percentage of 0%. In the NBA Development League last season, Watson played 37 times for the Celtics' subordinate team, Maine Celtics, with averaging 29.9 minutes per game, averaging 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 0.2 turnovers and 1.9 fouls. He shot 44.1% from the field, 31.9% from three-point shooting percentage and 65.1% from free throws.

Jones was born in June 2000 and is 25 years old, 201cm tall and weighs 91kg. He was the undraft in the 2023 NBA Draft. Last season, Jones first played for the Denver Nuggets' Nuggets' NBA Development League team Grand Rapids Gold. He played 48 games in the NBA Development League, averaging 29 minutes per game, averaging 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 1.8 turnovers and 2.8 fouls, with a shooting percentage of 41.8%, a three-point shooting percentage of 36.2%, and a free throw shooting percentage of 75%. In the previous Canadian League, he played 22 games, averaging 32.2 minutes per game, averaging 18.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.1 blocks, and 2.5 turnovers and 2.5 fouls. His shooting percentage was 38.2%, three-point shooting percentage was 28.1%, and free throw shooting percentage was 81.9%.

Dixon was born in January 2001 and is 24 years old. He is the undraft in this year's NBA draft. According to data from the previous joint trial physical test, Dixon's bare foot height is 201.9cm, his wingspan is 212.1cm, his standing height is 264.2cm, and his weight is 97.3kg. In the NCAA game last season, Dixon made a total of 35 appearances for Villanova, averaging 34.8 minutes per game, with averaging 23.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks, and 2.1 turnovers and 2 fouls. His shooting percentage was 45.1%, a three-point shooting percentage of 40.7%, and a free throw shooting percentage of 81.3%. Due to the injury, Dixon did not participate in previous NBA Summer League games.

In fact, relatively speaking, Williams and Watson are both strong players, and they are also players who have played in the NBA and have performed well in the NBA Development League. They are actually capable of competing against two-way contracts. Judging from the current situation, the Lakers still have a two-way contract quota that has not been given. I don’t know how the situation will develop next. Will any of these two players have the opportunity to launch an attack on a two-way contract?
