Bowen: West Ham players look at themselves in the mirror first, don t blame the head coach

Hupu, August 23, West Ham captain Jerold Bowen was interviewed by Sky Sports after a 1-5 defeat to Chelsea.

"I think you can probably imagine it. Angry. It's disappointing. I've conceded eight goals in two games and didn't score a single point, which is really unspeakable.

I think we were in a very good position when we led 1-0, but I think these goals were too easy for us.

We didn't really use the set piece (which we've been proud of for years) and the few shots in the small penalty area to create opportunities.
