ESPN: The club does not bear it, Amorin invites 30 logistics and family members to watch the Europa League final at his own expense

May 14 ESPN reported that Manchester United coach Amorin paid out of his own pocket to purchase tickets to the Europa League finals for members of the logistics team and their families.

According to sources, Manchester United club previously told its coaching staff, physiotherapists and logistics team members that they need to purchase tickets to watch the Europa League finals by themselves. Amorin paid out of his own pocket for 30 logistics team members and their families to travel to the Europa League final in Bilbao, Spain next week.

Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao in the early morning of May 22. The winner of this UEFA Cup final will not only win the championship trophy, but will also qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.

However, Manchester United management is still continuing to advance a series of cost-cutting measures, including cutting up to 200 jobs. The club only provides employees with two tickets to watch the Europa League finals, rather than funding free itineraries. In sharp contrast, Paris Saint-Germain, a team participating in the Champions League final, confirmed last week that 600 employees will be invited to watch the Champions League final against Inter Milan in Munich on June 1 for free.

sources told ESPN that Manchester United's move is intended to ensure that fans can get more opportunities to buy tickets from the 15,000 tickets allocated to the San Mames Stadium. Each player is only assigned two tickets, and the travel expenses of his family and friends are not included in the club's scope of responsibility.

It is reported that when Amorin took over Manchester United coaching in November last year, he brought several members of the Portuguese sports team to Old Trafford. This time, Amorin took the initiative to bear the cost of the logistics team, including several low-income members. This is both a recognition of their efforts and dedication in the difficult times of the club in the past six months, and a special reward.

sources added that when the club made it clear that it would not bear the ticket fees for its coaching staff and logistics team, Amorin directly informed Manchester United management that it would pay out of its own pocket to ensure that each member could bring up to two relatives and friends to watch the game on site.
