FM Exclusive: Marseille midfielder Onashi joins Girona, with a transfer fee of 6 million euros + second transfer

Hupu, August 28, reported the latest report by French media FootMercato reporter Hanif Ben Berkane that Marseille midfielder Onashi will soon join Girona.

Several European teams have become interested in him this summer. Brighton was the first team to come forward and they even convinced the player. But the English club never took action on the matter.

This is the opposite of Spartak, Moscow, which soon reached an agreement with Marseille. The Russian club has matched the 12 million euro transfer fee asking price proposed by Marseille.

The problem is: the Moroccan international does not want to join Russia. Therefore, the deal seems to be at a deadlock, especially after Girona’s strong intervention. The Spanish club offered a fairly low offer, proposing to acquire 50% of the player's interests for €3 million.

But Marseille rejected the offer because they had no intention of selling the players at a low price. Meanwhile, Panathinaikos did not give up on his dream of bringing him back. The Greek club opened its inquiry again a few weeks ago. But Onakhi, who will compete in the African Cup in Morocco in a few months, has only one goal: to compete in La Liga.

This is enough to convince Girona not to give up and try the transfer in the last few days of the transfer window. The Spanish club seized the opportunity. As we understand, Marseille and Girona have reached an agreement on the Moroccan player's transfer.
