On the eve of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, a transfer rumor about football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has attracted widespread attention. It is reported that since FIFA has set up a temporary transfer window for this event, this move has inspired fans to have endless imagination and concern about the possible major player flow.

Among them, the most eye-catching rumor is that Ronaldo may temporarily transfer to his current club Riyadh Crescent, the direct rival of his current club Riyadh. This idea is undoubtedly full of drama, as if it was a shocking move to exchange core players between the biggest competitors in football, although the scene was limited to the hypothetical situation after the event.

In response to this buzzing rumor, Riyadh Crescent CEO Esteve Kalsada quickly made a clear response, completely calming the speculation from the outside world. In an interview with BBC Sports, he clearly stated: "I have a high respect for this (Ronaldo's transfer), and no one denies his outstanding talent as a player. But bringing the number one star of the direct opponent into his rank obviously goes against the basic competitive logic and intuition."

Regarding the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Riyadh Crescent, from a professional and rational perspective, the reason why it failed to achieve is obvious.

Karsada clearly pointed out that even though this event is of importance, the proposal of introducing a 40-year-old player from his mortal enemy is not in line with the club's plan. This decision does not only consider Ronaldo's age and value factors. From any level, the transaction lacks rationality.

He further added, "What's more, the time is only three to four weeks."

Riyadh Crescent's supervisor also mentioned that during transfer negotiations, the name of a big club is usually used as a bargaining chip.

It says "When a player or agent expects to negotiate a better contract with the club, our club's name is often involved."

Ronaldo fans originally expected him to play a sensational game in his blue jersey, and he is currently expected to stay in Riyadh to win and possibly even extend his contract, and he is sharing his rest with his family.

Riyadh Crescent is looking for a more traditional transfer goal after the event. Karsada confirmed that the club's ambitions are still strong, but it has not yet reached the level of signing the most fierce rival idol.
