Knicks official: The team first signed and then waived Romeo Langford, who is expected to join the G League

Hupu News, October 17th Today, the Knicks officially updated their social media, announcing that they had reached an Exhibit 10 contract with free agent Romeo Langford, and chose to waive him 6 minutes later.

According to reporter Scott Agness, the Knicks did this to allow Langford to get more salary so that he could join the Knicks' Development League team.

The last time Langford played in the NBA was in the 22-23 season. He played 43 games for the Spurs, averaging 6.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game, and shooting 46.7% from the field.

In the 2019 draft, Langford was selected by the Celtics with the 14th overall pick in the first round.
