May 7th News: Sun's new general manager Brian Gregory held a press conference, and several Sun reporters reported on the relevant content.

It is reported that Gregory publicly admitted at a press conference that he became the general manager by his relationship with his boss Matt Ishbiya. It is understood that when Ishbiya played at Michigan State University, Gregory was the team assistant coach at that time. The two won the NCAA Division I national championship in 2000.

It was reported that at the press conference, Gregory declined to disclose details about finding a new head coach and evading the second-large line, nor did he talk about the future plans of Durant and Bill. Gregory said he was satisfied with the current roster of the team and said he would align with the plans his boss Ishbiya expected to achieve his wishes.

It is understood that 58-year-old Gregory was a teammate with David Robinson during college and reached the NCAA quarterfinals together. In 1999, Gregory began coaching at college and did not leave the college league until 2023. In June 2024, Gregory joined the Suns as vice president of the team. Before that, few people in the league knew Gregory.

It is worth mentioning that only Gregory made a speech at this press conference. He said 26 alignment/aligned (aligned/consistently) at the 37-minute press conference.
