May 27 Liam Robinson of Liverpool City Council updated the situation of the crash during the Liverpool championship parade.

He said: We express deep sympathy and concern for this shocking incident in the city center. This event casts a shadow on the otherwise joyful city, especially as this wonderful bank holiday weekend ends. I want to pay tribute to emergency personnel who responded quickly to help the injured and thank our NHS staff for providing treatment for the injured in the hospital. We are working closely with Merseyside Police to support their investigation efforts and work with other relevant organizations to ensure that affected people are properly supported.

I urge everyone not to share horror videos of this incident on social media, and if you have relevant information, please forward it to Merseyside Police to assist their investigation. We will not comment further, but will provide updates when appropriate. Again, condolences to all affected people.

Liverpool is a city with a history of unity and mutual assistance. It can always work together to overcome difficulties in difficult times. I believe that this spirit will appear again in the next few days and weeks.
